Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students

  1. Bold Beauty Academy has signed and returned to the Department of Education the Certification and Agreement that we have used 50 percent of the funds received under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.
  2. Bold has received $75,692 from the Department of Education pursuant to our Certification and Agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students.
  3. Bold distributed $75,692 of Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act on August 5th, 2020.
  4. Bold determined 67 students were eligible to participate in programs under Section 484 in Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 and thus eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.
  5. 67 students received an Emergency Financial Aid Grant under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.
  6. Bold determined that any student who was enrolled on March 14th, 2020 in a Title IV Eligible Program, and who would exceed the 180-day maximum leave duration but re-enroll prior to June 2nd, 2020, was eligible for a disbursement of $1,129.73.
  7. Bold provided to students a description of the examples of permitted uses provided by the Department of Education. The specific language was as follows: "Examples of eligible expenses include those in your cost of attendance budget such as food, housing, course materials, technology, health care, and child-care. You acknowledge that none of Bold Beauty Academy, it's employees, or advisors, has directed you to spend the funds other than as recommended in this Agreement. You acknowledge that none of Bold Beauty Academy, it's employees, or advisors, has directed you to apply your Relief Funds to any outstanding Account Balance, if any, at Bold Beauty Academy."
